生長於北海道清新的空氣和肥沃的土壤的「栗林」南瓜個頭雖小，但含糖量高，口感香甜濃鬱。果肉呈現鮮豔的橙色，蓬鬆而黏稠，名副其實地「嘗起來像栗子」。

採摘後成熟，進一步提升了甜度，使其成為一款用途廣泛的秋季美味。
